Narratives Library National Edition

Karena     WORDS AND MUSIC!

Hi !

I'm Karena Wynn-Moylan and this is Narratives Library National.

This is where you can hear  an entertaining and informative podcast of (usually) two authors being interviewed and then reading from their own work. There will also be a thoughtful music track included.

There is something special about hearing the person who wrote the words read them just for you. I have been interviewing authors for many  years as part of my Arts Canvass radio program which is broadcast weekly on Bay FM 99.9 and found that the strongest response to authors work was when they read their own words.

So I founded the Narratives Library website, where you can over 300 authors reading for just 5 minutes ( everyone can spare 5 minutes in their day, right?!) This idea proved so popular I was asked by the Community Radio Network  in Australia to come up with a weekly format to go out to over 150 stations each week. Because not everyone can tune in when the editions go to air, I am making them available as podcasts.

Authors  I will feature will come from all over the world, they will be reading novels, crime, romance, science, philosophy, art, children's literature and Young Adult and many more.

So start collecting your very own personal library of authors reads.   And if you like what you hear ,I am always looking for sponsors who would like to be associated with a beautiful literary concept.

AND NOW.... there are also selected musicians on this site . I try and and include at least three tracks  as we talk about the process of making music and explore  how difficult and rewarding this can be in today's complicated music industry. I call these edition 'Quickpods' - because I focus on just one performer. Songwriting is storytelling, so I see no division in featuring both songwriters and authors in this series.
